The Future of Care Conference, coming to The King’s Fund, London on Tuesday 13th March has continued to attract a high calibre of care professionals from across the country to attend this unmissable one-day event. With the Early Bird rate available until 2nd February, now is the time to register for your tickets.

With the cabinet reshuffle and continued strain on the care sector, experts and associations come together on this day to discuss the challenges faced and look into the future of the care sector. Chaired by Fiona Phillips, the day is kicked off by Andrea Sutcliffe from Care Quality Commission (CQC) with her talk ‘Quality Matters in Social Care’. In this session, Andrea will focus on what good practice looks like and how the sector can achieve it. The role of CQC will also be discussed.

Following on from Andrea, William Roberts from NHS England will provide an update on the New Care Models, the learning from the vanguards and share insight into where these will lead us in the future. Avnish Goyal, Managing Director, Hallmark Care Homes is also present on 13th March to raise the question ‘Does outstanding care come from outstanding training?’ Avnish will look at the relevance of how training is evolving to meet the expectations of the future.

Professor Martin Green, Chief Executive of Care England will finish off the day with his talk ‘An Outcomes-Based Approach to Social Care’. How can the sector help educate the general public on what their future financial liabilities may be in relation to care? Martin will discuss what needs to be done to integrate health and social care.
