The countdown to Care Roadshow Glasgow has begun!
It has nearly been a whole year since Care Roadshows visited Scottish soil and we can’t wait to return in April 2019! If you work in the care sector and are looking to maintain your knowledge of the industry and get the updates on the latest regulations, then a trip to Care Roadshow Glasgow on Tuesday 30th April is guaranteed to help you achieve your goals.
Hosted at Hampden Park Stadium, the first of five national events will host a variety of suppliers covering a wide range of products and services to suit all care business needs. Exhibitors including apetito, Boots, Zuri, Disclosure Scotland and many more will be on hand to offer advice and show how they can help your care setting flourish.
There will also be a series of CPD seminars taking place at the event, provided by experts in the industry. Senga Currie, Head of Care Development (Scotland) for Quality Compliance Systems, will be discussing the new inspection framework and looking at the changes that have taken place within social care in Scotland over the past year. Later in the day, Dr Maggie Ellis, Lecturer in Psychology at the University of St Andrews, will present a session on how to create connections in advanced Dementia through Adaptive Interaction (AI). All seminars are completely free to attend, so make sure you take advantage of the opportunity to top up your CPD.
Alzheimer Scotland are running both workshops taking place at Care Roadshow Glasgow. These digital workshops will focus on a collection of storytelling from health and social care staff, people living with dementia and their carers. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see and touch products and ask questions about use, service re-design for digital solution integration, training and learning opportunities, assessment and conversation planning.
The event has seen a fantastic response so far with care professionals keen to network and learn from the free sessions throughout the day.
